1. Produce
(a) samples of plane tessellations using GSP
(b) a teacher’s toolkit consisting of 3D objects
(c) a pop-up paper engineering project
In order to complete this project, here is the list of tasks that you need to do:
1. Work in groups of FOUR.
2. Your task will focus on TESSELLATION, 3D OBJECTS AND POP-UP ENGINEERING .
3. Search and print out ONE relevant articles on each of concept of TESSELLATION, 3D OBJECTS AND POP-UP ENGINEERING that you find from internet, journal, magazine and books.
4. Create a mind map on the concepts of TESSELLATION, 3D OBJECTS AND POP-UP ENGINEERING .. Topics using a graphic organizer (mind map, table, fish bone, tree diagram, etc.)
5. Based on your references above, give your own definition of concepts of TESSELLATION, 3D OBJECTS AND POP-UP ENGINEERING .
6. Create Model samples
• of plane TESSELLATION using GSP (2 examples)
• a POP-UP PAPER ENGINEERING project ( 2 examples )
• a teacher’s toolkit consisting of 3D OBJECTS (as told in class)
7. In this project, you are also required to prepare a portfolio that should include :
i. A printed copy of one relevant articles of TESSELLATION, 3D OBJECTS AND POP-UP ENGINEERING .
ii. A graphic organizer on your summary
iii. Submit all your Models (TESSELLATION, 3D OBJECTS AND POP-UP ENGINEERING)
iv. Your reflection based on the following aspects:
a. Introduction
b. Explanation of your teacher’s toolkit consisting of TESSELLATION, 3D OBJECTS AND POP-UP ENGINEERING .
c. Your experiences in doing the coursework including any difficulties you experienced
d. The use of TESSELLATION, 3D OBJECTS AND POP-UP ENGINEERING . in everyday life
v. List of references or bibliography.
vi. Collaboration form to show proof on collaboration with your lecturers and among group members.
8. Due date of this project is 18-02-2011 . Submit your task in the form of hard copy and soft copy .
9. Use font Arial, size12, 1.5 spacing and references must be quoted using APA style.
